War in Ukraine. Sunflower Seeds vs Seeds of Hatred

We are witnessing an event that is causing a lot of humanitarian damages and also economical disruptions.

What it’s happening these days in Ukraine is a humanitarian tragedy. Casualties of all kinds, Russian soldiers, Ukrainian soldiers, civilians …

Reasons for that? As we are not the aggressor and also we do not have access to his inner circle, we can only guess and, as human beings with rational thinking, we will anyhow do this.

From my point of view, the roots of today’s war are born all the way back to the start of Putin’s regime.

He always thought that accepting Ukraine’s Independence is one of the most painful injustices brought about by the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.

The Russian President declared many times that Russians and Ukrainians are ‘one people’ and this strong thought of his own is somehow the base for the atrocities which take place these days.

We might think that considering all these statements, one of his biggest ambition is to recreate the Soviet Union, but as he said in the speech given a few hours ago before getting the order to invade Ukraine, this is not his point.
